The 2020 Jetta is available in five trim levels: S, SE, R-Line, SEL, and SEL Premium. Jetta models receive more technology features for 2020. All models are equipped with the next-generation Car-Net telematics system and have in-car Wi-Fi capability. The 2020 Jetta is powered by Volkswagen's 1.4-liter turbocharged and direct-injection TSI engine, making 147 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. While the 2020 Jetta is more technologically advanced than ever, retaining its fun-to-drive character was of critical importance. Thus, a six-speed manual transmission is standard, with an eight-speed automatic available. A Start/Stop System is standard on automatic-transmission models.
